The roomba combination is also a powerful mop, but it lacks some more advanced features that make Roomba J7+ a top sweeper. It shifts from sweeping to mopping when it detects an area that is damp. A small robot arm lifts the combo water tank/dustbin. Then, when you hit the button on the side of the cleaner, a new pad slides into the tank and is ready to go.

Its navigation was in line with the best irobot deals robots in my tests, and it made good progress even when the path was not clear. It's not the best rated roomba vacuum at avoiding obstacles, however it was pretty quick to recognize and navigate around larger objects such as socks and toys that could get in its way.

The app lets you customize your schedule, create an exact cleaning route and set up Keep Out Zones or Clean Zones to direct the robot where it should go. It also provides a summary of what it has accomplished and its health state. It can also be paired with your Alexa, Siri, or Google Assistant-enabled devices to provide voice control. The smart platform of iRobot automatically updates the software of Combo with new features and capabilities.

Object Detection

iRobot combination robots automatically detect and avoid objects such as tables, couches, stairs, chairs as well as pet toys, laundry hampers and other household clutter.
